Of the 324 genes with significant positive correlations (using the 1 Mb window), 29 were significant by the same approach as applied to TCGA-ICGC pan-cancer dataset (overlap p < 1E-5, one-sided Fisher’s exact test), including CDK4, EGFR, FOXR1, MYC, and TERT. At the same time, this overlap represented just a fraction of the significant CBTTC genes, reflecting overall differences between pediatric brain cancers and adult cancers of various types. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is cancer.
