In the patients with CKD, treated by dialysis in the study by Chen et al. [18], the output value of serum total cholesterol was 168.2 ± 42.9 mg/dg/dL (4.35 ± 1.1 mmol/L), LDL cholesterol was 95.1 ± 34.8 mg/dg/dL (2.45 ± 0.9 mmol/L), while in the alpha erythropoietin group, the output level of serum total cholesterol was 165.1 ± 41.4 mg/dg/dL (4.25 ± 1.05 mmol/L) and LDL cholesterol was 90.1 ± 29.4 mg/dg/dL (2.30 ± 0.75 mmol/L).
