Further, hematoxylin and eosin staining detected the amyloid plaques [27,28,29], and immunohistochemistry using the Tau AT8 antibody demonstrated the expression of phosphorylated Tau at serine 202 and threonine 205 [30] in our hippocampal tissue samples from patients with Alzheimer’s disease (Figure 2, Panel B2). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
