Indeed, these receptors are not only targeted for by mAb therapy, such as anti-HER2 antibody trastuzumab, which has already been approved for metastatic gastric cancer and breast cancer, anti-HER3 antibody MM-121 and Pan-HER, an antibody mixture targeting EGFR, HER2, and HER3, which is in early clinical development, but also using small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors, such as lapatinib, and pan-HER blockers, such as afatinib, in various patient populations, including CRC patients [43,45,46,47]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and breast cancer.
