Therefore, the overexpression of MERTK has been detected in numerous cancers, including myeloid and lymphoblastic leukemias, breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, brain cancers, melanoma, prostate cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, ovarian cancer, and rhabdomyosarcomas (reviewed in ref. [19,66]). Here, MERTK is linked to gastric cancer.
