We recently demonstrated that CDH13 contributes to the migration of 5-HT specific neurons to distinct subregions of the raphe nuclei, preferentially the lateral wing of the dorsal raphe (Andrea Forero et al. 2017) and has been associated with various neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD (Lasky-Su et al. 2008; Lesch et al. 2008; Neale et al. 2010) and ASD (Sanders et al. 2011, 2015). The gene discussed is CDH13; the disease is attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
