CBS and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive: Bone marrow mononuclear cells from the CML patients were treated with 0.8 mM aminooxyacetic acid (AOAA) for 48 h, which has been shown to inhibit CBS activity.28 AOAA significantly reduced the cell viability to 84.43 ± 0.70% (P = 0.0078), 73.18 ± 0.40% (P = 0.0203), and 73.21 ± 0.66% (P = 0.0127), respectively, in each patient compared with the controls (P < 0.05) (Fig. 2a).
