Multiple additional factors at presentation were associated with increased mortality, including absence of fever as a presenting symptom; pre-existing heart failure, hypertension, or dementia; increased clinical frailty score; hypoxia; raised respiratory rate; reduced renal function; elevated CRP; severe COVID-19 [10]; and higher CURB65 score [15] (Online Supplementary Table S1).
