The univariate analysis indicated that deceased patients had a higher BMI (OR = 1.14, 95% CI = 1.06–1.23, p = 0.001); a higher frequency of obesity (OR = 3.6, 95% CI = 1.56–8.32, p = 0.003); a higher requirement of IMV (OR = 7.47, IC = 2.71–20.57, p = 0.001) and of vasoactive drugs (OR = 7.18, IC = 2.95–17.46, p = 0.001); a higher level of C-reactive protein (OR = 1.06, CI = 1.02–1.11, p = 0.008); a lower level of albumin (OR = 0.25, IC = 0.1–0.62, p = 0.003); and a higher frequency of AKI (OR = 12.96; IC = 4.63–36.28, p = 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
