CYP24A1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Two Chinese case-control family-based studies (n = 1,560 & n = 1,556) examined CYP24A1 SNPs rs2248359 and rs4809957 [39, 40]; while the study in 1,556 individuals showed no association of the SNP rs4809957 with T2D [40], the study in 1,560 individuals demonstrated an association of the SNP rs2248359 with T2D in women (P = .036) but not in men (P = .816) [39].
