A polysaccharide, namely JRP1, purified form the fruits, at doses of 25, 50 and 100 mg/kg, i.p., for 21 days, inhibited the tumor growth with inhibition rates of 35.3%, 40.6% and 48.1%, respectively, and decreased the index of spleen and thymus and increased the serum levels of immune regulatory markers such as IL-2, TNF-α and IFN-γ with a dose-dependent manner in S180 tumor-bearing mice (Wang et al., 2015).
