The SIRT1- inhibitor aggravated hyperglycaemia-induced senescence compared with miR-34a inhibitor group, as evidenced by the elevated protein expression of p21 (1.73 ± 0.22 (HG+miR-34a I+siRNA-SIRT1 group) vs.0.88 ± 0.18 (HG+miR-34a I group), P < 0.05) and p16 (2.11 ± 0.18 (HG+miR-34a I+siRNA-SIRT1 group) vs.1.40 ± 0.20 (HG+miR-34a I group), P < 0.05) and SA-β-gal activity (206.33 ± 15.82 (HG+miR-34a I+siRNA-SIRT1 group) vs.120.11 ± 10.21 (HG+miR-34a I group), P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and Hyperglycemia.
