In the metastatic tumours (liver and lung) derived from sh-NEAT1-transfected U2OS cells, the expression of the epithelial marker E-cadherin was downregulated, while the expression of N-cadherin, Vimentin and Snail was upregulated, indicating that the MET process was suppressed in the metastatic sites (Fig. 7i; p < 0.01, p < 0.01, p < 0.01, and p < 0.05 for E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Vimentin, and Snail in liver, respectively; p < 0.01, p < 0.001, p < 0.05, and p < 0.01 for E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Vimentin, and Snail in liver, respectively). Here, VIM is linked to neoplasm.
