GAL and neuropathic pain: Our previous studies also demonstrated that the intra-NAc injection of galanin had an antinociceptive effect in carrageenan-induced inflammatory pain models [10] and CCI-induced neuropathic pain models [6], and which could be blocked by non-selective GalRs antagonist galantide, suggesting that the galanin-induced antinociceptive effect might be mediated by GalRs [10].
