In patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), AML and multiple myeloma (MM), the frequency of NKG2D+ and DNAM1+ NK cells was reduced and in acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) and AML patients, and circulating NK cells expressed increased levels of NKG2A and decreased levels of NKp46 [44,45].
