The KEGG pathway enrichment analysis revealed that this 21 targetable SARS-CoV-associated disease genes are involved in multiple significant (adjusted p-value ≤ 0.05) viral infection-related pathways, including TNF signaling pathway, Toll-like receptor signaling pathway, Cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, IL-17 signaling pathway, Epstein-Barr virus infection, Inflammatory bowel disease, and Influenza (Fig 3B), mirroring the enrichment results found for the total 41 SARS-CoV-associated disease genes (Fig 3C). The gene discussed is IL17A; the disease is inflammatory bowel disease.
