TP53 and neoplasm: Other recurrent mutations included genes encoding BCAN, a protein highly expressed in gliomas that may promote the growth and cellular motility of tumor cells, CNTROB, a protein required for proper centriole duplication and cellular cytokinesis whose mutation can lead to aneuploidy, and mutations in the tumor suppressor genes PTEN, TP53, POU6F2, and CDC27 (a component of the APC complex).
