SGK1 is often upregulated in both acute and chronic myelogenous leukemia, such as in myeloma (39), B-cell lymphoma (27, 28), and Hodgkin lymphoma (38), and has been demonstrated to be significantly correlated with enhancer-associated rearrangements and highly recurrent mutations of the SGK1 gene (27, 28, 38). Here, SGK1 is linked to chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
