The effects of centromeric and telomeric KIR haplotype B/B motifs compared to haplotype A/A motifs pointed in different directions for patients with secondary AML (HR 0.7, 95%–CI 0.4–1.33) and patients with MDS (HR 1.48, 95%–CI 1.03–2.11). This evidence concerns the gene KIR3DL1 and myelodysplastic syndrome.
