We investigated whether the MC4R p.Ile269Asn mutation was associated with T2D-related quantitative traits (BMI, waist circumference (WC), FPG, 2-h post-oral glucose tolerance test plasma glucose (2-h PG), fasting plasma insulin (FPI), homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) and beta-cell function (HOMA-B)) in 3 754 Mexican adults with NGT (Table 4, Supplementary Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
