Treatment with p38 inhibitor induced STAT1 and NF-κB activation in the stomach, as seen in ASK1−/− or ASK1−/−→WT mice (Figure 4I), suggesting that ASK1-p38 pathway in myeloid cells is a critical regulator of H. pylori-induced gastritis and metaplasia.
