Interestingly, it has recently been demonstrated that in several ovarian cancer cell lines, cytokines like CCL20, CXCL1-3, and CXCL8 are the primary cytokines induced by EGFR activation or TNFα, through the NF-κB and PI3K-Akt signaling pathways [219], indicating that TNFα could be a suitable target in ovarian cancer.
