KEGG pathway analysis data indicated that these selected genes primarily participated in AGE-RAGE signaling pathway modulation in diabetic complications, amoebiasis, ECM–receptor interactions, focal adhesion, HTLV-I infection, human papillomavirus infection, cancer pathways, the PI3K–Akt signaling pathway, small cell lung cancer, and toxoplasmosis (Figure 1C). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and toxoplasmosis.
