Kaplan–Meier survival analysis suggested that patients with high expression of 55 genes showed a favourable prognosis than those with low expression, such as FNDC3B, VSTM1 and CALR. While, AML patients with high IL15RA, VCL and PLA2G4A expression had a poor prognosis than those with low IL15RA, VCL and PLA2G4A expression (P < 0.05 for all cases, log rank test, Fig. 3, Additional file 2: Table 5 and Additional file 1: Figure 3). The gene discussed is CALR; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
