The prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2D) is higher than T1D, and over time, insulin often becomes necessary to achieve glycemic control.5–7 Individualized goals for glycemic control in T1D and T2D are similar, and include TIR greater than 70% of the time, time below range (<70 mg/dL) less than 4%, and glucose variability (CV) ≤36%4 (Table 1).
