TJP1 and Zika virus infectious disease: Upon either ZIKV infection or ZIKV E protein overexpression, the transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) values, in an in vitro mouse SCB (mSCB) model were significantly reduced, and the interaction between actin and ZO-1 in Sertoli cells was weakened in a dose-dependent manner, which might account for the decline in TEER.
