INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Diabetes mellitus is a common chronic metabolic disease that seriously endangers human health, mainly manifested by hyperglycemia and often accompanied by disorders of blood-lipid metabolism.[1] Hyperglycemia and long-term metabolic disorders in diabetic patients can cause damage to tissues and organs throughout the body, leading to serious complications.[2] According to the functional status of insulin, diabetes mellitus is divided into type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes, of which about 90% is type 2 diabetes.
