Highly upregulated genes included those associated with oncogenic signaling, such as Cthrc1 (Wnt and adenocarcinoma signaling) and Crabp2 (retinoic acid (RA) signaling and embryonal carcinoma-associated gene), while highly downregulated genes included those associated with skeletal muscle (Aacta1, Myl6b, and Klhl41, Fig. 2a). The gene discussed is CRABP2; the disease is adenocarcinoma.
