NCOA4 and persistent truncus arteriosus: The calculated LV mass, LV weight-to-tibia length ratio, and the cross-sectional area of cardiomyocytes, which are parameters for cardiac hypertrophy, were elevated by pressure overload in both Ncoa4+/+ and Ncoa4–/– mice, but those were significantly lower in TAC-operated Ncoa4–/– mice than in TAC-operated controls (Figure 1B,C and D).
