It is worth mentioning that in the study of Gross et al. [28], the number of enrolled infants did not match the data presented in their table “Allele distribution of MAOA promoter polymorphism in this study’s SIDS cases and controls” (Number of X chromosomes analyzed: all SIDS, SIDS n = 368, control n = 812; male, SIDS n = 154, control n = 358; female, SIDS n = 214, control n = 454). This evidence concerns the gene MAOA and sudden infant death syndrome.
