IGHE and hereditary elliptocytosis: Ohtani et al. (2) showed that the rate of tolerance for half of whole heated HE was 30% by 3 years of age, 59% by 5 years of age, and 73% at 6 years of age and levels of egg white-specific IgE (EW-sIgE) and ovomucoid-specific IgE (OM-sIgE) in the persistent HE allergy remained significantly higher than those in the HE tolerance.
