To the best of our knowledge, only Tang et al. (176) made an attempt to find a potential association between PDCD1 polymorphisms (PD-1.1, PD-1.6, PD-1.9, and rs7421861T>C) and risk of esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma (EGJA) (however it is worth mentioning that 1,063 patients and 1,677 controls were enrolled in this study). Here, PDCD1 is linked to gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma.
