PROS1 and COVID-19: Taken all consideration, HP-OVA can be more easily produced on a large scale and are more cost-effective than neutralizing antibodies and other large protein-based inhibitors, thus we believe HP-OVA is a promising candidate for optimization and development as a pan-CoV inhibitor-based therapeutic and prophylactic for the treatment and prevention of the current COVID-19 pandemic and may help in the future to prevent new viruses that have an affinity between the S protein and ACE2 receptor.
