Intriguingly, through injecting KYSE-30 cells with OV-TEAD4 transfection or in combination with shRNA-SGK1 transfection into nude mice, we found that SGK1 silencing markedly interfered with the effects of TEAD4 overexpression on tumor volume and the expression of Ki67 and MMPs (MMP2 and MMP9).
