Consistently and similar to published observations in humans (Schulien et al, 2019), c-Jun levels were also up-regulated in the liver (Fig S1C), concomitant to an increase in the expression of phosphorylated-JNK (Fig S1D), indicative of a plausible role for the JNK-c-Jun pathway in regulating the hepatic fibrosis process. This evidence concerns the gene JUN and fibrosis.
