Necroptosis is a type of programmed necrotic cell death morphologically featuring both necrosis and apoptosis dependent upon RIPK3 and is implicated in the pathogenesis of several diseases, including myocardial infarction, stroke, atherosclerosis, AKI, sepsis, pancreatitis, and other several clinically important disorders [25,26]. Here, RIPK3 is linked to myocardial infarction.
