There are no data reporting on the utility of genetic testing in the setting of a solitary PJ polyp, but as stated above, genetic testing of the STK11 gene is a useful tool to diminish the risk of PJS, especially in children and younger adults.For patients with a confident diagnosis of a solitary PJ polyp, routine endoscopic surveillance is not recommended.
