We then hypothesize that SYCP3 expression in TGCTs (which was overall low, occurring in few disperse cells within the tumor) may solely represent an aberrant activation of the meiotic program in certain malignant germ cells, which show (failed) attempts to enter meiosis [as previously suggested [74]], and not an indication of BRCA2‐RAD51 axis impairment, although this should be confirmed in further studies. This evidence concerns the gene SYCP3 and neoplasm.
