Furthermore, a pilot study of CNVs on the data set from a total of 3,414 patients with schizophrenia, 713 patients with bipolar disorder, and 3,215 controls, showed that CNVs affecting 15q13.2 (ARHGAP11B and FAN1 genes) appeared to be schizophrenia-specific (3). This evidence concerns the gene ARHGAP11B and bipolar disorder.
