A retrospective case series involving 393 patients with confirmed COVID-19 had consistent characteristics, with cough being the most prevalent (79.4%) and fever, dyspnea, myalgia, diarrhea, and nausea and vomiting; most patients had lymphopenia (90%) and elevated inflammatory markers (ferritin, CRP, D-dimer, and procalcitonin) [8]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and lymphopenia.
