In the present study, we investigated the effect of pharmacopuncture with P. ternata water extract (PT) on inguinal fat pad of obesity-induced mice by analyzing local fat loss, adipose tissue histology, and the activities of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), LC3, autophagy-related gene (ATG) 5, and ATG7. This evidence concerns the gene PNPLA2 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
