Similar to the findings in animal models, the levels of SH3GL1 was higher in RA patients when normalized for CD3E (Fig. 5d) corroborating the data from the NCBI GEO database27 where SH3gl1 gene expression was found to be upregulated in sorted CD4 + T cells from RA patients compared to healthy control (Fig. 5e). This evidence concerns the gene CD3E and rheumatoid arthritis.
