We also applied this technology to the search of biomarkers of metastasis in lung cancers, an important prognostic factor in cancers, and found that the expression levels of oxysterol-binding proteins, such as oxysterol-binding protein-related protein 5 (OSBPL5) and calumenin (CALU), were significantly higher in positive cases of lymph node metastasis than in negative cases [130]. This evidence concerns the gene OSBPL5 and lung carcinoma.
