Interestingly, in a recent study, the inhibition of BCL-2 using ABT737 in ovarian cancer cells resulted in lower glycolysis and PKM2 levels in a mechanism mediated by the Sirt3-HIF1α axis [110], suggesting a potential role of BCL-2 in regulating PKM2, a finding that requires further exploration.
