Heart failure, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and chronic hematological disease were less common in patients with elevated cTnI and COVID‐19 infection; but obesity was significantly more prevalent when compared with COVID‐19 negative patients (44.4% vs. 14.9%, odds ratio [OR]: 4.58, 95% CI: 2.13, 9.86). The gene discussed is TNNI3; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
