All minor alleles of ACE gene SNPs, except at position 1 in the form of haplotype ACDG appeared to be risky (OR 3.03, 95%CI: 1.86–4.88, p < 0.001) and it was confirmed that it conferred 2.5 fold higher risk of developing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women having endothelial dysfunction after correcting the effect of risk predictors (OR 2.50, 95%CI: 1.28–3.96, p = 0.002). The gene discussed is ACE; the disease is endothelial dysfunction.
