Rochette et al. reviewed several abnormal SLC25 activities that are linked to cancer including the overexpression of SLC25A1 in lung cancer, SLC25A43 gene deletion as well as elevated SLC25A33 expression in breast cancer, and SLC25A10 that regulates the redox homeostasis was also increased in multiple cancer types [41]. The gene discussed is SLC25A43; the disease is lung carcinoma.
