Except for the well-known TB markers such as IRAK2, SOCS3, PTGS2, CCL20, and IL1B, the other hub genes we identified here, NAMPT, ZC3H12A, ABTB2, GFPT2, and ELOVL7, may be useful as new biomarkers for TB diagnosis and as therapeutic targets for host-directed strategies. The gene discussed is PTGS2; the disease is tuberculosis.
