Although the role of intratumoral CD8 + T-cell densities in sarcomas as prognosticators has not yet been firmly established, levels of PD-1 + CD8 + (TILs and intratumoral expression of PD-L1 in sarcoma subtypes have been correlated with prognosis [35,36], suggesting that PD-1/PD-L1 interaction could regulate T-cell-mediated control of tumor growth and pointing to the use of ICI for sarcomas.
