PPARG and colitis: More recently, it was shown that the synthesized jasmonate analog J11-Cl (2-hydroxyethyl 5-chloro-4,5-didehydrojasmonate), structurally similar to cyclopentenone prostaglandin 15d-PGJ2, increases PPARγ activity and exerts anti-inflammatory effects, determining a less severe form of intestinal inflammation in dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced colitis in mice.
